I'd really recommend the upgrade. Not only does it give a cool look to a very visible part of your engine bay but it obviously won't strip which is something the stock part has the proclivity to do. There is concern about the brass threads ruining the plastic threads on the hose, it has an O ring on it that keeps you from overtightening it and as long as your are careful not to cross thread it then you are set.
