They evidently make the BMW cap and it appeared the same quality. It clicked when tightened just like the original.

Perfect replacement part for my 2000 528i. It took me longer to get the broken piece of the tether out of the door than it did to get the new one installed. Now I don't have to worry about the cap rolling off the car when refueling.
