I bought this AOS Aug, 2021, as my new-to-me 2005 Boxster had a failed AOS.
It worked nearly 18 months. I store the car over winter and on first start-up a few weeks ago, I got white smoke and stumbling on start up. I didn't drive the car. I stopped, changed the oil, new rear tires, and a week later, started it again. It was worse. I traced it to a bad AOS. Removed the oiil cap when running, and it died. Tried this a few more times, and it dies. I pulled the air hose from the AOS to the plenum, and it was nicely coated in fresh oil. Slso, some amount of dirty, residual oil at the bottom of the AOS where it goes into the block. I order the correct Porsche part today.
