The motor works, but it was a pain in the a** to deal with.

The impellers were not properly positioned, such that the passenger-side impeller rubbed against the housing on my 2004 330xi.  I had to remove the device and knock the impeller a little further onto the shaft using a socket, extension, and light hammer.  Be careful doing this -- it's easy to over-tap, and you'd probably need a special puller that can fit through the splines to back the impeller off the shaft if you tap it in too far.

Anyway, after adjusting, the fan works fine.  It has a slightly louder whirring sound than the original, but no crickets.  I'm just frustrated that the job took 3x longer than it should have because of the manufacturer's careless error.

Side note, it's not as pictured: the passenger-side impeller is brown, and the driver-side is eggshell colored.  I don't care about this, but it's interesting to note that the picture is not one of the device being sold.
